About Texas Solar Quotes

Who we are, how we research and how this site makes money.

Who we are

Texas Solar Quotes helps homeowners make a clear-eyed decision about rooftop solar: whether it pays off at their address, how to compare installer quotes, and how to avoid high-pressure sales tactics. Austin-area readers should also see our sister site Austin Solar Quotes.

texassolarquotes.com is owned by Wolfgang Maasberg and operated by Spicewood Secure Storage LLC, a small Texas business based in Spicewood, Texas. Questions, corrections or partnership requests: hello@texassolarquotes.com.

How we research

We build our guides from primary sources wherever we can: manufacturer specifications, utility and government pages, published rate sheets and official program rules. We say when something is an estimate, and we date our pages. Prices, rates and programs change, so always confirm the current details with the company or agency before you buy, book or sign.

Affiliate disclosure: how we make money

This site is free to read. We pay for it through affiliate and referral partnerships. When you click certain links and then buy a product, book an experience or request a quote, the company may pay us a commission or referral fee. You do not pay more because you used our link.

In line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides, we mark pages that contain affiliate links and label partner buttons. A commission never decides what we recommend, and we include free and non-partner options when they are the better choice.

Partner programs we use or have applied to include:

  • Solar.com
  • EnergySage

What we are not

We are not a solar installer, lender, utility or tax advisor. We don't design systems or give tax advice. Talk to a qualified tax professional about any tax credits, and read every contract before signing.
